바이올리니스트 한지원은 한국과 유럽, 미국을 두루 거친 음악적 배경을 지녔다. 다섯 살에 바이올린을 시작해 열한 살에 우크라이나 심포니 오케스트라와 협연하며 처음 주목받았다. 서울예술고등학교를 졸업한 뒤 독일 슈투트가르트 국립음악대학에서 세계적인 바이올리니스트 Judith Ingolfsson을 사사하며 최우등으로 학사 학위를 받았다.

이후 Artistic Excellence Scholarship 장학생으로 존스홉킨스 대학교 피바디 음악원에서 석사 학위를 받았다. 피바디 콘서트 오케스트라의 부악장을 맡았으며 이탈리아와 뉴욕의 국제 콩쿠르에서 1위를 수상했고, 아스펜 음악 페스티벌에 전액 장학 펠로우로 초청되어 국제 무대에서의 깊이와 연주력을 확인했다.

미도리, 유진 드러커, 앤턴 넬(반 클라이번 국제 피아노 콩쿠르 심사위원) 등 거장들과의 마스터클래스와 협업을 통해 음악적 통찰을 넓혀 왔다. 또한 애틀랜타 심포니, 뉴저지 심포니, 뉴헤이븐 심포니, 델라웨어 심포니, 오스틴 심포니, 국립심포니오케스트라 등 한국과 미국의 주요 오케스트라와 함께 연주했다.

연주 활동과 함께 한국, 독일, 미국에서 10년 넘게 다양한 연령과 배경의 학생들을 가르쳐 왔다. 줄리아드 음악원의 익스텐션 프로그램을 통해 교수법을 한층 다듬었다. 그녀의 수업은 기술을 넘어서, 학생이 작곡가의 작품을 스스로 해석하고 내면화하도록 이끌며 정서적 이해와 예술적 통찰을 함께 길러 준다.

현재 그녀의 활동은 세 가지 축을 중심으로 이어지고 있다. 모든 수준의 학생을 위한 개인 레슨, 친밀한 공간에서 클래식 음악을 나누는 뮤직 살롱, 그리고 음악으로 나누고 영감을 주며 사람을 잇는 자선 활동이다.

Ashley J. Han is a violinist with a rich musical background spanning Korea, Europe, and the United States. She began playing the violin at age five and gained early recognition at eleven with a solo performance alongside the Ukrainian Symphony Orchestra. She graduated from Seoul Arts High School in Korea and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree with top honors from the University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart in Germany, studying under world-renowned violinist Judith Ingolfsson.

She later earned her master’s degree from the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University and was awarded a merit-based Artistic Excellence Scholarship throughout her studies. She served as Associate Concertmaster of the Peabody Concert Orchestra, won First Prize in international competitions in Italy and New York, and was invited as a Full-Scholarship Fellow to the Aspen Music Festival — affirming her musical depth and performance excellence on the international stage.

Ashley has also deepened her musical insight through masterclasses and collaborations with legendary artists such as Midori, Eugene Drucker, and Anton Nel (Van Cliburn International Piano Competition juror). She has also performed with leading orchestras across Korea and the U.S., including the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Delaware Symphony Orchestra, Austin Symphony Orchestra, and the Korean National Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to her performing career, Ashley has spent over a decade teaching students of all ages and backgrounds in Korea, Germany, and the U.S. She further honed her pedagogy through the Juilliard School’s Extension Program. Her teaching goes beyond technique — she guides students through interpreting and internalizing each composer’s work, fostering both emotional intelligence and artistic insight.

Currently, her work centers on three core pillars: Private Lessons for students of all levels, Music Salons bringing classical music to intimate settings, and Philanthropic Initiatives that give back, inspire, and connect.
